Kollane kübar / Yellow hat

Heegeldamise lainel olles tuleb pritsida neid "üheõhtukaid" kuniks inspiratsiooni on.
Tütar sai veel kollase kleidi juurde kollase kübara. Ema kinnisidee tõttu loomulikult 20-ndate stiilis.

As long as the crochet virus is at flare one must shoot as much as there is inspiration. So my daughter got a yellow hat to wear with her yellow dress. Due to mom´s idee fixe the style is the roaring twenties of course.

The pattern is so simple that I did not write it down this time. Increasing according to gut feeling.

Niisiis kaks heegeldatud pead on ikka kaks heegeldatud pead.

Little brother with his yester-year stripe-beanie refused to stay out of the spotlight. Therefore two crocheted heads are two crocheted heads.

Heegeldatud pitsbareti muster / Crochet lace beret pattern

Niisiis pitsbarett. Sai aktsepti.
Before the present frore we had a week or more around 30 degrees heat here in Tallinn. With such extreme heat and strong sun I never allow kids to run around bare head. Luckily little brother is content with his shabby cap but my pre-teen lady needs someting more advanced to keep her satisfied.
So lace beret. Got accepted.

Kiire üheõhtu töö. Peamine - kantakse. Sobib kanda teksadega mänguväljakul või lillelise kleidiga poodi jäätise järgi minnes.
Quick one evening job. Main thing - worn by her. Goes with jeans to run around the playground or flowery dress to go for icecream.

Seniks on minu mustrid sellised "nunnud" kodukootud, ruudulisel paberil.

I thought at first that I could take whatever doily pattern and just start decreasing it at one point.
Of course I did not find any pattern that could meet my expectations. So I hade to make one myself.
Anyhow it isnt no rocket science indeed.
I also draw the pattern down. So if anyone wants to make similar beret to their girl then it saves the pattern search time.

I have been also looking for a computer program to create my own crochet patterns. No luck though. Have not found even any expensive ones. I would highly appreciate if anyone could guide me to such program.
Until then my patterns will be "cute" and simple, on a checkered paper.

Crochet hook no. 2,5. Yarn: Novita Kotiväki.

Jooned numbritega tähistavad ahelsilmade arvu. Alustuseks luua 16 sammast, millele tekib kaheksast kroonlehest koosnev õis.

Heegeldagem end oimetuks!
(minul igastahes kipub selline periood praegu olema)

The lines with numbers on the chart stand for the amount of chain stitches.
Start with 16 pillars to create a flower motif of 8 petals.
The size depends a lot about the intensivity of the crochet. One can change the number of last rows´ stitches to make it accordingly bigger or smaller.

Crochet til you drop!
(lately it seems to be my case exactly)

Üks kohmakas tõlge / A clumsy translation

Leidsin päris ammu Pinterestis ühe ilusa pitsseljaga pulloveri.

Venekeelse juhendi koos skeemiga leiab siit.
Mulle tuli palve tõlkida see inglise keelde.

I found one lacy back knitted pullover tutorial via Pinterest some time ago.

The russian tutorial with knitting scheme is found here.
I was asked to translate it to english. At first I was naive enough to think it is one easy task for me. Oh dear, was I mistaken! It was a real tortue and made me realise my total lack of knowledge in english and russian both. Or actually just realized that I have a total vacuum of handwork termins - both languages.

Õnneks on peamine töö võimalik teha joonise järgi.

Still, I collect my courage to present my poor translation work with this tutorial. I hope someone finds good use for this beautiful lace pattern. Luckily the pattern is mainly readable from the scheme.
If there is anyone who can fix my translation, I would appreciate it a lot!
But for now, here it goes:

Eriti kui me räägime suurusest S/M.
Kindlasti teeks taljeosasse kahanduse .
Kindlasti sobiks sellisele mudelile kolmveerand varrukad.
Lõngaks valiks Drops Cotton Merino.
Nii uitmõttena välja öeldes...

But I would like to comment the original tutorial a bit. Namely I would never cast on 77 stitches with pins no 5. It would be huge. Especially if we are talking about the size S/M. Of course if one does not want to make a tent for the kids for summer.
I would decrease the waistline. The back lace pattern allows so well to make the waistline.
Indeed would count the stitches to fit my own size. Test piece neccessary.
The sleeves I would make much narrower and three-quarter-lenght.
My yarn choice would be Drops Cotton Merino.
So much about my whimsy thoughts...

Ma järgmisena avaldan ühe oma enda loodud heegeldatud pitsbareti mustri. Mina olen jooniste usku, ei mingeid regivärsse. Seega täiesti internatsionaalne taies, minule jõukohane, sest heegeltingmärgid on õnneks üle maailma ikka täiesti standardsed. Püsige kanalil.

Next I will publish my own crochet lace beret pattern. I believe in charts, no additional written explanations. So the pattern will be totally internationally understandable as crochet symbols luckily tend to be very standard all over the world.
Stay tuned.

Ettevalmistused algavad juba kuid enne - sukad, kingad, kleit. Ööpäev enne tuleb tegeleda soenguga. Hea, et meik ja spreipäevitus ära jäid!
Mis pulmadega veel tuleb??

Seekord tuli mul taas heegeldada kleit.

Exactly a year ago I had one important problem to solve for my daughter - what to wear at kindergarten graduation.
I remember my mom sewed me a simple polka dot blouse and skirt with zig-zag ribbon decorations. It was one popular ribbon during soviet times. And the party look was achieved by a simple hair-do and white bobby-sox.
Nowadays it is not so simple anymore. The preparations start months before - pantyhose, shoes, dress. 24h before begin the preparations for the hairdo. I am lucky that the make-up and spray tan did not raise under question!
What will happen when she`ll get married??

This time I had to crochet a dress. OK, I decided that I crochet a dress. I simply refuse to buy those "layer-cakes" from the shop.

Lõng on see tavaline Maxi heegelniit. Kulus vist ca 3 kera.
Mustrit hakkasin lihtsalt tegema. Hakkan kohe lihtsalt pihta.

Tha yarn is the usual Maxi crochet yarn. If I remember correctly I used approx. 3 skeins. The pattern just somehow came out. I have often this way that I so urgently want to start crocheting that I have no time to flip through my crochet pattern catalogues. So I just get to it and it turns out somehow.

Pihta hakkasin keskelt. Ülemine osa keskelt üles ja alumine osa keskelt alla.
Mõõduks tegin jupi ketti valmis ja proovisin millal ümber naba läheb. Nii ta alguse sai.

Started from the middle. The upper part is crocheted waist up and the skirt part is waist down.
For measurment I crocheted a piece of chain and just tried when it was enough to circle the navel.
So it started.

For me it seems the dress came out a bit too long. But my girl especially insisted this lenght. I am indeed to old to know the fashiontrends of pre-teens. I found out that skirts shorter than knee-length suck big times!
But main thing - the skirt must twirl.

Need pildid siin on tehtud nüüd aasta hiljem.
Tähtpäeval käis kleidi juurde rullisoeng ja kontsaga kingad. Nii lihtsalt pidi, mul polnud mittemingit sõnaõigust.
Kleit pälvis muidugi rohkem tähelepanu teiste emade silmis. Sõbranjede jaoks polnud see "makramee" piisavalt puhvis.

Those pictures here are taken a year later. At the party-day there were also curlers hairdo and high heel shoes. It just had to be this wa , I had no say.
The dress was noticed by other moms more than friends of course. For the girls there were just too little layers. At least she starred with her high heel shoes. (with what in my humble opinion she looked like a small old-person, but what do I know!)
My girl herself was luckily content enough.
