Üks pisut slaavipärane kardigan / A bit Slavic cardigan

Ah olgem ausad, villane on tegelikult meie kliimas just jaanipäeval aktuaalne.

Soon it will be Midsummer Day, but before that one woolly stuff. Ah, lets be honest, in our climate wool is very appropriate especially during Midsummer. What is the difference between Midsummer Day and Christmas in Estonia? During Christmas you need to wear a coat on your woollen sweater, during Midsummer just a jacket will do ( on the woollen sweater!).
This cardy I knitted already last spring but as always I hardly get them on photos. But still...

See on eelmise aasta Mai lõpus Tallinnas, Kalamaja päevadel. Ma nimelt armastan tohutult vene romansse ja neid on mul kogunenud paras repertuaar. On mõned väiksed kontserdidki olnud.
Sellise tõmoshenkolikule lookile sobiski tookord hästi mu veidi slaaviliku tegumoega kardigan, sest et loomulikult oli põrgulikult külm!

This is last May in Tallinn, Kalamaja Festival. I namely adore russian romances and I have a total repertoir piled up of them. There have been some tiny concerts too.
And my bit Slavic style cardi fitted good with that tõmoshenko-look because of course it was damn cold out there!

Kampsun on taaskord Dropsi lõngast. Seekord Lima´st. Lima on ka üks mu vaieldamatuid lemmikuid.
Alpaka-villa segu, seega väga soe. Koob ennast ise. Suurte varrastega.
Mudel kujunes tööde käigus. Hakkasin kaelaaugust pihta ja muudkui tulin allapoole, ise huviga jälgides, mida mu käed siis teevad.
Selline siis kukkus välja!

I used again Drops´ yarn. This time it was Lima. Lima is one of my favourites too. It is mix of wool and alpaca. Very warm. Knits by itself. Big pins.
The pattern shaped up during the process. I just began from the neck hole and started to knit downwards. Meanwhile observing with suspense what my hands were doing.
This what came out!

There are no seems. The lenght of the cardigan and the sleeves were dictated by the quantity of the yarn. I just didnt want to go and get some more yarn therefore I decided the sleeves would be as long as the yarn helds out.
Maybe the cardi itself is a bit short but the sleeves I like this way -  3/4 lenght.

Nööpidega läks jälle väga hästi. Nagu oleks lõnga järgi värvitud.

I was lucky with the buttons again. It looks like the buttons were coloured by the yarn.

Kaelaaugu äärega üritasin ka kangesti originaalne olla. Ei teinud nööbiliistuni välja!
Mässaja!

I tried to be original also with the collar edge. Didnt reach out until the buttons.
Rebel!

  3. Vau!
